» Design.
KCG works with organizations to plan and develop the information that works best for them and their clients. We help organizations create documents that meet the principles of good design, documents that people can use to make decisions and complete tasks. To do this, we help create new processes for developing information that focus on the work that is required and the desired end-results. Good information design not only improves an organization’s bottom line, it also improves their business image.
 
» Testing.
Testing serves as a method through which we help agencies assess the effectiveness of their information. Testing confirms that users can (or cannot) use new documents quickly and accurately, and it benefits an organization downstream by reducing the need for follow-ups and the associated costs and effort. For example, when IRS changed one of its notices, testing ensured that recipients could understand the intended message (e.g., when and where to send a payment). By testing the notice, IRS greatly reduced its workload by eliminating the need for sending follow-up correspondence to clarify the intent of the earlier notice.
 
» Evaluating.
Ongoing evaluation is central to continuous improvement of information and processes. We can help organizations develop measures to assess and monitor whether new communication initiatives are working. Through evaluation, KCG helps organizations find out which processes are working and which are not in order to make targeted changes.
